We believe that it is important for you to be informed about the available treatments, procedures and alternatives. We strive to answer your questions and support your personal decisions. We hope that will decrease the stress that is inherent to this process.
Becky Kubala, R.N.
Executive Director
The human body is a wondrous entity and our goal is to help things work as nature designed and intended. When you are young and healthy, it is an extreme frustration when pregnancy does not come easily. Of course it is not desirable to have to seek help and we have taken those concerns into consideration. We appreciate that there are many facilities available for you to receive care. We also understand that we will not be right for everyone. If you choose to work with us, we will work tirelessly to assist you in your attempts. Others could match the efforts that we will put forward on your behalf but we strive to not have them exceeded.
In our initial consultation, we discuss those lifestyle adaptations that can improve your chances. You will be given advice and information on the things that you can do to stack the cards in your favor. It is also our goal to support you in those decisions that may be difficult but desirable to bring you to the healthiest body possible. To guote Joan Kub RN, PhD, APRN, BC, of John Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore, “Change is affected more by motivation than by information.”
There are many great books and articles addressing ways to protect or increase your fertility. PARINTS has a lending library at your disposal and I suggest anything written by Alice Domar PhD.
The Web is full of useful infertility and related medical resources. Here are a few links that we recommend.
